Polycarbonate glazing is also available with these innovative folding walls.

By constructing folding glass walls and bifold doors to meet the demands of today’s consumers, we offer unlimited design options, superior performance, security features, and ease of installation with our folding glass walls. The extensive capabilities of our engineers, designers, and installers have allowed Solar Innovations® to pinpoint the limitations of its competitors' products and design its systems to be more durable and easier to operate. Solar Innovations®' goal is to make the most installation-friendly and long-term maintenance-free folding glass walls and bifold doors available.
We manufacture all of our folding glass wall hardware and hinges. These walls can also be considered bifold doors or bifold walls. This allows us to maintain the highest level of quality control and to meet shorter production deadlines. Our “no-compromise” design philosophy has resulted in a folding glass wall system that is second to none.
Our folding glass walls are designed with no breach of the thermal break anywhere in the system, including the hinges. The folding walls and bifold doors received excellent air and water infiltration test results due to the continuous weather seal on the inside surface. The gaskets are chemically adhered at the corners, rather than simply abutted against each other, and they contain a shrink-resistant cord to enhance the long-term performance of the wall.
Solar Innovations® folding glass walls and bifold doors are easy to operate. They glide almost effortlessly along the sill track due in large part to our uniquely elongated trolley design, which properly distributes and balances the weight. The unique triple knuckle hinge design with stainless steel impregnated bushings prevents sagging of the wall, even with large panels.
You will have peace of mind with Solar Innovations® folding glass walls and bifold doors. The doors feature the highest quality three-point or five-point locking mechanisms and tamper-resistant hinges. The folding glass wall flush bolts are easy to operate and are recessed into the frame of the door for clean sight lines.
Seacoast Systems is very sensitive to the needs of those living in areas prone to strong storms or hurricanes. Therefore, we feel it is our duty to ensure that our customers are properly informed. We want people to know that windows and doors were not meant to be leak proof. No matter how strong or well crafted a door or window is, extraordinary events such as hurricanes can exceed their ability to keep out water. Increasing wind speed, duration, direction, rain volume and other natural phenomena that accompany any storm can combine to increase the possibility that leaks may occur.
Even if a window was properly anchored for structural integrity, it may leak if not correctly flashed and sealed. Windows and doors that are not installed plumb, square, and in plane will not close properly. This leaves gaps which, though very small, are sufficient to admit rain when driven by storm-force winds. Water propelled at winds above 65 MPH will cause an impact glass window to leak.
Many window and door products are tested for water penetration resistance at various wind pressures. When rain events are coupled with extraordinary wind speeds, it is not uncommon to experience water leakage through or around a window or a door. Water resistance performance of a window or door product is often affected by a variety of design parameters, including operational or functional concerns, market or economic preferences, life safety and egress codes, or other physical limitations to water control capacity.
It is unsafe to consider any product “hurricane proof”. It is a common misconception that impact glass will not break. This is not true. If it is struck or damaged, impact glass will, in fact, break. They are designed to remain in the opening to prevent structural collapse. If your purpose is to keep water out, you are much better off installing a strong shutter over your window than impact glass.
If you have any questions concerning our products versus impact glass, feel free to give us a call.
